How often is too often to inspect in the first year?

I'm worried I'm overdoing it. Currently going in every 7 days, all frames out, queen check, brood check, food check. Single deep, package install in May. Club mentor said "once every 10–14 days". My YouTube rabbit hole says "weekly is fine". Bees seem stressed during/after?

The stressed look is usually heat and disturbed pheromones. If you can inspect in the late morning of a warm sunny day, when the older foragers are out, you'll see way calmer bees.

Every 7 days is fine in the first year. Just be efficient — have a goal for each inspection. Don't pull every frame if you don't need to. Quick peek at brood, find eggs, check stores, close it up. 10 minutes max once you have the rhythm.

Year 1 = learn. So yes, go in often. Year 3 = don't go in unless you have a question.
